Lorena Laforest, M.A.

I like to “mix it up” in my therapy work with talk, clinical hypnosis, EMDR, or Art Therapy, (when words can’t express what is deep in the soul). For substance abuse and recovery, I developed “Creative Recovery,” in 2003. This unique approach combines art and archetypal symbols to work with the psyche, and supportive therapies to work with clearing the subtle energy bodies (charkas). It is an honor when people allow me to help them work through life issues and to co-discover their inner strengths and gifts.

I have two Bernese Mountain dogs, Ellie Mae and Mimi, who love going to parks and beaches to romp and wrestle, while my two cats, Oscar and Bell, like to stay home and meditate on cosmic issues. When I’m not cleaning up pet hair, I like to paint, garden, read, and spend time with my three grown children and my 5-year old grandson
