Russian River Counselors

Russian River Counselors is a group of mental health professionals located on the Russian River. We are in Monte Rio, across the road from Northwood Golf Course which is three miles from Guerneville on the way to the ocean. The address is 19375, Highway 116, Monte Rio, CA. (map) or (mapquest)

Our staff includes Marriage and Family Therapists,
Psychologists, Psychological Assistants,
a Child Psychiatrist,
and post graduate interns in psychology and counseling.

We provide the following counseling services:

Counseling for children
Individual adult counseling
Family therapy
Group counseling
Anger management groups
Support groups for AIDS caretakers
Triple P Parenting Education

We are a Psychology Clinic:

We do Psychological Assessments for children and for adults.
We do Social Security Disability evaluations. (We were given a very helpful grant by The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.)
We conduct Neurofunctional Analyses for brain injuries.

We work with patients in pain, using a variety of interventions.
We work with clinical hypnosis , for psychological, behavioral, and physical issues.

We use EMDR for the treatment of physical and emotional trauma.

We have received several research grants from the
Association of Pre and Perinal Psychology and Health.

We base our fees on ability to pay.

We are also a Psychology Clinic and we accept Medi-Care and Medi-Cal for children.
